At GoTravelhome, we believe that RV travel and sustainability can go hand in hand. While travelling inevitably leaves a footprint, there are many ways to reduce your impact – from how you drive to where you shop and what you choose to experience. We aim to inspire travellers to enjoy the freedom of a motorhome while being mindful of their impact on nature, people and destinations.

Our Role

As an international platform for motorhome rentals, we work with rental partners around the world. We choose our partners based on reliability, transparency, and – where possible – their commitment to sustainability. We share knowledge, provide practical tips, and encourage responsible choices on the road. Because small steps, taken by many, lead to meaningful change.

Tips for sustainable RV travel

Drive efficiently
Check tyre pressure, avoid unnecessary weight and combine journeys where possible. Drive calmly and use the correct gear to save fuel.

Buy and support local
Shop at local markets, eat in local restaurants and book experiences with local guides. It supports the community and enriches your journey.

Limit waste and single-use plastic
Bring reusable water bottles and containers, separate waste if possible, and leave nature as you found it.

Choose eco-friendly products
Use biodegradable toilet fluids and cleaning agents – especially important when camping close to nature.

Respect animals and nature
Avoid attractions with animals in captivity. Observe wildlife from a distance and follow instructions from park rangers or guides.

Travel slow
Take your time. RV travel is about freedom, so go off the beaten path, stay longer and explore at your own pace.
