Discovering Sweden with a rental motorhome is becoming increasingly popular. Wake up by the birds singing in the middle of the Swedish forests or by the first sunrays shining over the mirrored lakes.

Head south along rugged coastlines and the bustling cities of Malmö and Gothenburg or to the unspoiled north where you can take spectacular hikes and come face to face with the king of the forest: the moose. Wherever you travel, Sweden's landscape is so varied that you won't get bored. From idyllic islands to snow-capped mountains and picturesque villages to trendy cities, Sweden has something for everyone. Determine your own route with Stockholm as a central starting point and set off by motorhome through beautiful nature and experience Swedish traditions.

Norrland / Northern Sweden

Traveling around the far north of Sweden is a magical experience. The rugged mountain landscape is surrounded by green valleys, snow-capped mountains, meandering rivers and lakes that merge into this pristine wilderness. From May to mid-July, the sun does not set and summer evenings can be enjoyed in the midnight sun. In winter, you can witness the natural show of the Northern Lights in this Idyllic part of Sweden.

Lapland stretches north from the countries of Norway, Sweden, Finland to a bit of Russia. The part of Lapland located in Sweden can be divided into two parts: Swedish Lapland in the northern part and Gold of Lapland in the southern part. Both parts offer wonderful adventures in vast surroundings to dream away. Get your passport stamped as you cross the Arctic Circle and take in the breathtaking views of Salajäkna, Sweden's largest glacier. Take a "husky tour on wheels" (by bike and without a sled) and experience Lapland in a special way. Visit characteristic wooden houses and taste the famous Västerbotten cheese. But don't forget to discover the culture of the Sámi people who still keep reindeer for a living. Set out with a Sámi guide in Jokkmokk or stay with a traditional Sámi family in Båtsuoj and learn more about the way of life of the original inhabitants of northern Europe.

Svealand / Central Sweden

Central Sweden has so much more to offer than just the versatile capital city of Stockholm. Within just an hour you can drive from the hustle and bustle of the city to the silence of the wide wilderness. Besides the regions of Dalarna, Värmland, Jämtland and Härjedalen, which are worth visiting for their characteristic red cottages, the fairly undiscovered regions of Gästrikland and Hälsingland are also definitely attractive for unwinding and enjoying the varied landscape it has to offer. Nature offers high mountains and green mysterious forests to an archipelago of many islets in a deep blue sea. Many wild animals still live here such as moose, beavers, wolves, bears and wolverines that can be spotted during a wildlife safari.

The nature of central Sweden offers the best of both worlds. Between the cold climate in the north and the mild climate in the south, plant species from both regions grow and the flat landscape of the south gently merges into the more rugged and forested character of the north. It is a good mix of culture in the bustling city and nature in the restful wilderness. Camp in the middle of nature and enjoy the silence or the cozy long summer evenings. Stroll through the forests or along babbling brooks and pick the delicious wild blackberries, raspberries and red berries. Discover the most beautiful places and experience it for yourself at your own pace during a campervan trip Sweden!

Götaland / Southern Sweden

Most major cities are located in the south of Sweden. In the extreme south lies Malmö, the capital of the province of Skåne. This typical Swedish city with its characteristic coffee houses, charming squares and colorful houses is definitely worth a visit. By the way, it is connected to the Danish capital Copenhagen via the arch bridge over the Sont River, making a day trip to Denemark easy to combine. Besides other atmospheric towns, such as Helsingborg and Ystad, there is much more to discover in southern Sweden. The Scheren coast with more than 5,000 islands and cliffs, untouched nature in Store Mosse, Sweden's largest national park, and the miles of sandy beaches in the provinces of Skåne, Småland and the islands of Öland and Gotland.

The mild climate in this part of Sweden and the long white sandy beaches also make it an ideal destination for a beach vacation. No crowded beaches, ideal water for swimming, endless beach walks and enjoying the sun with your feet in the fine sand. The most beautiful natural beaches in Skåne include the Långa Bryggan in the town of Bjårrad, 20 km north of Malmö and the Falsterbo Strandbad on the peninsula of the same name. The Falsterbo Peninsula is also known for its unusual birdlife. An undiscovered gem of Småland is the picturesque coastal town of Västervik. Rent a campervan from Stockholm and enjoy Sweden's endless summers!
