The low-lying San Vannes and the area around Lake Malawi is the warmest with temparatures of about 22 to 32 degrees (max. 39 degrees), in the mountains it is a lot cooler. From May to October is the dry season of winter and July is the coldest and especially in the mountains it is then quite cold. Between November and April there is a regular chance of rain. The original rainy season is from early December to March, the best travel time is in the cooler months between May and October and preferably in the months of May and June.
